The Law Society has now prepared a Response to the Government Consultation . The Response offers a radical formula for restructuring the market whilst avoiding Price Competitive Tendering The proposals have not met with universal agreement from the Profession however it at least does offer the Lord Chancellor a credible alternative .

Government Consultation on Legal Aid

The Government is currently undertaking a consultation into Legal Aid for Crime , Prison Law and Judicial Review and Your Local Committee has been supporting Local Solicitors and the campaign to oppose the reforms .
