This webinar will look at recent interesting cases and important developments in costs matters. The aim is to help practitioners comply with the Civil Procedure Rules and achieve the best outcomes in hearings relating to costs, including applications for relief from sanctions for late costs budgets. It will consider decisions regarding the extent of valid Part 36 Offers and reduction in costs for where the level of damages claimed are not awarded.

Landmark Chambers – An Update on Public Sector Pensions, Age Discrimination and the Fallout from McCloud v Lord Chancellor

This webinar will look at the responsibilities and remedies available to resolve the discrimination issues emerging out of the significant decision of the Court of Appeal in McCloud v Lord Chancellor  EWCA Civ 2844 which decided that the 2015 reforms to public sector pensions which de facto forced workers from legacy schemes into new schemes (but allowed others to remain in legacy schemes) were unlawful.
We offer a Full Programme of Training for Doncaster Lawyers which offers key Professional Training taking place virtually or in the Doncaster Area, for the convenience of our members . Non-members can access the courses but for a fee .

All courses carry CPD points unless stated otherwise.
2 hour and 1.5 hour courses will include coffee/tea on arrival. Full day courses will include 2 breaks for coffee/tea and will include lunch.
In all instances courses, will begin with registration 30 minutes prior to the start of a course, i.e., when a course is scheduled to start at 3.00 pm, registration will be at 2.30 pm, for courses starting at 4.15 pm registration will be at 3.45 pm and for courses starting at 9.30am registration will be at 9.00 am.
Companies will be notified directly of any changes/updates to the above programme with amendments also being posted on the Doncaster & District Law Society website.
Cost: 2 hour Lectures are FREE for Solicitor Members of DDLS, Legal Executives and Trainee Solicitors and £50 for non members of DDLS.
